Respect & Conduct – All attendees, speakers, volunteers, and sponsors are expected to treat others with courtesy and respect. Harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.
Registration & Attendance – Some events may require pre-registration due to capacity limits. If you register but can no longer attend, please notify us as soon as possible.
Event Modifications & Cancellations – Cypress Survivalist reserves the right to modify event details, change venues, or cancel events due to unforeseen circumstances. Registered attendees will be notified of any changes.
Emergency Preparedness – In the event of an emergency, follow the instructions of event staff and venue personnel.
Health Guidelines – Attendees should follow any health and safety recommendations in place at the time of the event, including hygiene protocols or social distancing if required.
First Aid – If you require medical assistance, notify an event staff member immediately.
Event Recording – Cypress Survivalist may take photos and videos for promotional use. By attending, you consent to being photographed or recorded unless you notify us in advance.
Personal Recording – Attendees may take photos and videos for personal use but must not disrupt the event or violate others' privacy.
Volunteer Expectations – Volunteers should arrive on time, follow instructions from event coordinators, and uphold Cypress Survivalist’s mission and values.
Sponsorship Recognition – Sponsors will be acknowledged based on their sponsorship level. Any promotional materials must be pre-approved by event organizers.
Inclusivity & Respect – We are committed to creating a welcoming environment for all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.
Prohibited Behavior – This includes but is not limited to: hate speech, harassment, discrimination, excessive disruption, and inappropriate or unsafe conduct.
Reporting Concerns – If you experience or witness behavior that violates this code of conduct, please report it to an event organizer immediately.
Assumption of Risk – By attending an event, participants acknowledge that they do so at their own risk and agree to hold Cypress Survivalist and its affiliates harmless from any liability related to injuries, loss, or damages. The participant agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold the nonprofit harmless from any claims.
Signed Hold Harmless Agreement - Participants may be required to sign a Hold Harmless Agreement depending on the class and activity scheduled during any event hosted by Cypress Survivalist.
Personal Belongings – Cypress Survivalist is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items.

This Hold Harmless Agreement (the "Agreement") is entered into on this (date of event), by and between Cypress Survivalist, its owners, officers, employees, volunteers, and affiliates (hereinafter referred to as "Releasees"), and the undersigned participant (hereinafter referred to as "Participant").
Participant acknowledges and understands that participation in the Get Ready! Northshore Event and/or Lunch and Learn Events involves inherent risks, including but not limited to physical injury, illness, exposure to extreme weather conditions, equipment-related accidents, and other unforeseen hazards. Participant voluntarily chooses to participate with full knowledge of these risks.
Participant assumes all risks associated with attending and participating in the event, including but not limited to risks arising from physical activities, outdoor elements, and potential interactions with other participants or wildlife.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Participant agrees to release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless Cypress Survivalist and all Releasees from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including attorney fees) that may arise from participation in the event, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.
Participant agrees to indemnify and hold Releasees harmless from any and all claims, demands, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising out of or related to Participant’s participation in the event, including but not limited to claims for personal injury, property damage, or wrongful death.
Participant acknowledges that all instruction, materials, and class content presented at the event are for example purposes only. Cypress Survivalist and its affiliates make no guarantees regarding the accuracy, safety, or effectiveness of the techniques and information provided. Participants should seek further professional counsel before attempting or applying any skills, techniques, or methods demonstrated during the event.
6. Medical Treatment Authorization
Participant authorizes Cypress Survivalist and event personnel to obtain medical treatment for Participant if necessary and agrees to be responsible for any costs incurred for such treatment.
Participant grants permission to Cypress Survivalist to use photographs, video, or other media taken during the event for promotional and marketing purposes without compensation.
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana. Any disputes arising from this Agreement shall be resolved in the appropriate courts within that jurisdiction.
If any provision of this Agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
